An experienced primary computing consultant currently training primary teachers and working as a lecturer at several Universities teaching computing studies and supporting educational projects.

Qualified to senior leadership level with several years of experience as a deputy headteacher of a large successful primary school with responsibilities that included IT subject leadership, assessment, mentoring of newly qualified teachers and liaising with teacher training colleges.

Certified Naace Professional AwardOne of 16 people in the UK who has received the Naace Certified ICT in Education Professionals Award having been invited to be part of a Pilot project. Her work was available on the Naace professionals web site as exemplar material.

 

Instrumental in designing and delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes as part of a Local Authority Team to develop the potential of technology and the computing curriculum to support schools in improving the quality of learning and teaching and its impact on children’s progress.

A passion for the use of technology to support learning and teaching and believes that all aspects of the curriculum can be enhanced through the use of innovative and creative computing activities.
